There is something so special about a winery wedding, and Layne and John’s weekend at Oak & Vine in Templeton, California (just outside of Paso Robles) was the perfect example. From the rolling vineyards that surrounded them to the heartfelt details that made the day feel so personal, it was a celebration that felt both timeless and effortless. We loved being there to capture it all on both digital and film!!

A Ceremony Full of Heartfelt Surprises

The ceremony was one of those moments where the unexpected became unforgettable. It was a windy afternoon in the vineyard, and Layne’s long veil took flight right in the middle of the vows. Instead of it being a distraction, it floated directly into her mom’s hands! We couldn’t believe we captured that moment. It was one of those candid moments that reminds us why we adore photographing winery weddings.

Details That Made the Day Unique

Layne poured so much thought into the details. Her mom baked hundreds of homemade chocolate chip cookies, which guests enjoyed throughout the night. Later, during dancing, fresh handmade pizzas were brought out from the outdoor kitchen, keeping the energy high and the party going. Every detail was centered around making guests feel cared for and creating an atmosphere where everyone could relax and celebrate.

The Central Coast is full of beautiful landscapes, but Oak & Vine truly stands out. Surrounded by vineyards on every side, the property offered the kind of scenery that instantly elevates a wedding day. Layne prioritized the views, the food, and the people. That balance made it so easy for us to capture everything in a natural and documentary style!
